Flying Aces

Flying Aces

FLYING ACES was a promotional game issued by the Getty Oil Company in 1966. This was a collect-and-win game with instant winners. With each visit to a participating Getty gas station, customers received a game envelope. The envelopes contain one game piece which looks like one-half of a playing card, with a dollor amount indicated on the card-half. The goal was to collect game pieces and try to match two playing card halves of the same amount and suit, in which case the player won that amount. Some of the game pieces were 'Instant Winners' which did not require a matching half. Later in the game, two game pieces were included in each envelope.

There were seven cash prizes available, $1, $5, $25, $100, $500, $1,000 and $2,500.
