Tigerama

Tigerama

TIGERAMA was a promotional game issued by Humble Oil and Refining Company at their ESSO and ENCO-branded gas stations in 1967. This was a collect-and-win game with instant winners. The game consisted of a game card given to customers each time they visited a participating ESSO or ENCO gas station.

Tigerama game cards have a wash-off area which, when you run water over it (or wipe it with a wet rag), reveals a picture of the left half or right half of a prize. The prizes are either cash or merchandise. If you collected two cards that had both halves of the same prize, you won that prize. Some cards are instant winners; when you wash off the card your prize is revealed.

Prizes included cars, boats, TVs and up to $1,000.00 in cash.

Tigerama followed Humble Oil's successful 'Tigerino' promotional game from 1966. The 'Tigerama' theme promoted Humble Oil's tiger branding and their 'Put a Tiger in Your Tank' slogan.
