For week of 12/31/11: Humpback Whale in Oklahoma City, OK


This humpback whale skeleton hangs from the ceiling at the Museum of Osteology in Oklahoma City, OK. It's a wonderful museum with actual animal skeletons, large and small, exquisitely arranged in life-like positions. This 14-foot long anaconda skeleton is the highlight of the snake section.
