Crater Lake National Park, Oregon
Below: As you enter the park you are greeted by beautiful forests and fields of blue flowers.
Below: Vidae Falls cascades from Applegate Peak.
Below: As we drove up onto the rim of the crater we got our first glimpse of the deep blue lake.
Below: This is Wizard Island, a "volcano in a volcano" in Crater Lake.
Below: The deep blue color of the lake is attributed to its great depth ... almost 2,000 feet deep ... making it the deepest lake in the United States. This volcano last erupted 7,000 years ago which must have been quite a sight!
