Death Valley National Park, California

Below: Here we are at the lowest point in the United States. Boy is it hot! Death Valley holds the record for the highest temperature ever recorded on Earth (134 degrees). Today it was only 122 degrees.

Below: The temperature was not a novelty ... it was dangerously hot. We didn't like it, our car didn't like it, and it was hard to enjoy anything. The park is huge and if your car breaks down in a remote area you could be in serious trouble. Next time we'll come in winter (and hopefully the gas prices will be lower).
