Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
We spent a week here and really enjoyed this park. The geysers and thermal features amazed us and we saw a lot of wildlife.

Below: Buffalo walking along Firehole River.
Below: Old Faithful.
Below: Young black bear near the petrified tree.
Below: Large black bear walking near Gardner River. This bear caused a huge traffic jam on the main road because many people just abondoned their cars in the middle of the road to get a picture.
Below: The Caribbean-blue color of the steamy-hot Excelsior Geyser Crater was quite impressive.
Below: Canary Spring at Mammoth Hot Springs.
Below: Calcite terraces and colorful bacterial mats.
Below: Yellow stone. Actually yellow-colored bacterial mats over travertine formations ... but "yellow stone" sounds better.
Below: Bull elk near Mount Haynes.
