DINO DOLLARS was a promotional game issued by the Sinclair Refining Company in 1967. This was a collect-and-win game with instant winners. The game consisted of a game card given to customers each time they visited a participating Sinclair gas station.
The Dino Dollars game cards (Sinclair calls them 'Coupons') have a scratch-off area which, when scratched, reveals either an instant winner cash prize, or one-half of the slogan "Drive With Care And Buy Sinclair" with a dollar amount next to it. When a player collected two cards that contained both halves of the slogan "Drive With Care And Buy Sinclair" and the same dollar amount, the player won that amount.
Instant winner prizes were 25-cents and $1. Matching slogan prizes were $5, $10, $100, $500 and $2,500.
Three different designs were used for the front of the cards (shown below). The back design was nearly the same for all the cards. There were thirty-six different printed cards issued in the game. Fifteen were common, fifteen were prize-winning slogan cards, and six were instant winner cards. The cards measure 2 1/2" tall by 3 1/4" wide.
