SUNNY DOLLARS PLUS was a promotional game issued by the Sun Oil Company in 1968. This was a collect-and-win game with instant winners. With each visit to a participating Sunoco gas station, customers received a paper game ticket (Sunoco calls them "envelopes") which are about 4 1/4" by 1 7/8." The tickets have two perforated tabs which are designed to be removed so the ticket can be unfolded.

When unfolded, the ticket reveals two printed game pieces for two separate games. The goal was to collect game pieces and try to assemble certain combinations in order to win cash prizes or a new Chevrolet Camaro.

There were eight cash prizes available, $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, $100 and $2,000. The grand prize was a new Chevrolet Camaro. I cannot find any reference to how many cash prizes or cars were offered or given away in this game.

Sunny Dollars Plus

In each game ticket is a game piece for the Sunny Dollars Plus game. The game piece shows one half of a dollar amount, either $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, $100 or $2,000. If a player could collect two matching halves of the same dollar amount, they won that amount. Some game pieces were instant winners.

Spell-N-Win

In each game ticket is a game piece for the Spell-N-Win game. The game piece shows a single letter. The goal was to collect letters and try to spell one of four words, ONE, TWO, FIVE or CAMARO. Doing so won a prize of $1, $2, $5, or a new Camaro. Some game pieces were instant winners.

Sunny Service Award

Each game ticket also contained a 'Sunny Service Award' which was intended to be removed and given to a gas station dealer if they gave you good service. Apparently these Awards could be submitted by Sunoco dealers to win prizes.

Sunny Dollars Plus followed two similar Sunoco games, 'Sunny Dollars' and 'New Sunny Dollars' which were both released in 1966. All three of these games were produced by Volume Builders, Inc. in Philadelphia.
